MTV Workin' Real Hard to Get Britney @ Movie Awards
Sat, 05/24/2008 - 01:30 — BritneyBashBritney Surprise Visit to "Rock The Cradle"
Sun, 05/18/2008 - 17:22 — BritneyBash
WTF is Rock the Cradle?
Britney Spears surprised "Rock The Cradle" contestants Thursday night by unexpectedly showing up for the season finale to support her former manager and friend Larry Rudolph.
"Rock The Cradle" pits aspiring pop stars, who have rock and roll in their DNA, against one another. The finale, which was broadcast on MTV, featured Jess Blaze Snider, son of Dee Snider; Crosby Loggins, son of Kenny Loggins; and Chloe Lattanzi, daughter of Olivia Newton John. Rudolph judged the competition.
Spears spent the duration of the show seated backstage surrounded by security. After the show, Rudolph told usmagazine.com, "She was here to support the show. I mentioned to her that I was going to my show. She said, ‘I want to come down.’ She loved it. She really loved it. She didn't come here for publicity or anything like that. She came here because she wanted to see the show, which I appreciated."
Spears headed to the show after spending the day with her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston. It was the first extended visit since she, along with her parents Lynne and Jamie Spears, appeared in Los Angeles County Superior Court Tuesday for a custody hearing, where she was granted extended visitation rights by Commissioner Scott Gordon.

Britney Spears is returning to How I Met Your Mother, a source tells PEOPLE.“The show is ecstatic and so is Britney,” a source said. “She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.”
The singer/actress will do one episode, the source says. Fox studios would not confirm the appearance.
Spears, 24, appeared on the March 24 episode, playing a receptionist at a dermatologist’s office who fell for one of the show’s main characters, played by Josh Radnor. She received wide accolades for the spot.
“She was hilarious in the table-read, and I got to see her do the run-through as well, and she was great,” cast member Jason Segal said.

Britney Will Not be Returning to How I Met Your Mother
Fri, 04/04/2008 - 06:36 — BritneyBashContrary to reports, Britney Spears is not in talks to return to CBS’ hit comedy 'How I Met Your Mother', Access Hollywood has learned.
Reports were circulating online, suggesting the pop singer was discussing another appearance on the show.
Last month, she played a slightly bonkers (and sexually charged receptionist) with a mega-crush on Ted (Josh Radnor).
Despite helping to propel the sitcom to their highest ratings in the show’s three-season history, she will not return to the program.
Larry Rudolph Appearing On Access Hollywood
Wed, 04/02/2008 - 05:37 — BritneyBashLarry Rudolph Will Be On Tomorrow’s Access HollywoodFresh off her successful appearance on CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother,” there is yet another sign Britney Spears could be returning to top of her game. The pop star has reunited with her former manager, Larry Rudolph.
“It’s true,” a source close to Britney told E! News. “They are working together.”
Britney and Larry had a rollercoaster of a professional relationship that ended with Britney publicly blaming him for pressuring her to enter rehab, according E!.
Larry is credited with taking Britney from just a small-town former-Disney actor and turning her into the world famous pop star that she is.
The duo, who worked together for almost nine years, parted ways around the time Britney married now ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
Jamie Spears, Britney father and co-conservator, has been an outspoken supporter of Larry, according to E!. It is not known if Jamie was involved in the reunion of Britney and her former manager.
Tune into Access Hollywood Wednesday for a sit-down with Larry Rudolph, where he talks about Britney and his new MTV reality show “Rock The Cradle.”
CBS Interested in Giving Britney Her Own TV Show
Wed, 03/26/2008 - 14:30 — BritneyBash
CBS... the station for old people.
Network chiefs at CBS are so thrilled with Britney Spears' guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother; they want to give Brit her own show. The pop singer's cameo as a secretary on this week's episode attracted 10 million viewers, it's highest ever ratings.
The network is planning to hand Spears future guest appearances, before creating her own spin-off sitcom. Sources told the National Enquirer:
"Britney did a great job playing the cute, funny receptionist, and really enjoyed herself. Doing a TV show will help Britney keep focused, plus keep her in Los Angeles, where she can see her kids regularly and create a positive work routine."
Tina Fey Wants Britney on 30 Rock!
Wed, 03/26/2008 - 10:18 — BritneyBash
OMG, Britney on an actually good show!!
After Britney Spears helped CBS’ How I Met Your Mother earn its highest ratings of all time, Tina Fey says she wouldn’t mind if the pop singer popped up on her NBC sitcom 30 Rock.
“We would love to work with Britney,” Fey, 37, told reporters yesterday in a conference call. “I’ve worked with her twice on Saturday Night Live and she was very professional and nice.”
Fey also has her eyes set on another A-lister: Oprah Winfrey.
“I want Oprah to play my best friend,” Fey said. “I want to spend time with Oprah, and I don’t know what I need to do to make it happen.”
30 Rock returns April 10 with new episodes following the writers' strike.
Getting back to work wasn’t easy, Fey said.
“The strike was a bit like the maternity leave that I didn’t have, except for my duties on the union line,” said Fey, who has a daughter Alice, 2.
“Now my daughter is old enough to say, ‘You don’t go to work, you stay inside.’ That breaks my heart.”
The Spears Always Brings Ratings for Viacom

Britney delivers 'Mother's' highest ratings ever
A guest appearance by Britney Spears on Monday gave the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" its highest rating ever.
"Mother" spiked to a series high 4.5 preliminary rating among adults 18-49, even as the rest of the CBS comedy lineup fell from last week's record-setting return to original episodes.
Critics were relatively impressed. "Britney the Trainwreck showed how she can still be Britney the Performer," wrote the Associated Press. "Spears proved she can act every bit as well as she can sing," wrote the New York Daily News.
The second week of strong "Mother" ratings (10.6 million, 4.5/12) assures the one-time bubble comedy will be renewed for the fall. "Mother" was the fourth-highest-rated show of the evening, and CBS won the night (averaging 12.5 million, 4.4/11).
At 10 p.m., "CSI: Miami" was the first major broadcast network drama to return with post-strike original episodes. "Miami" easily won the 10 p.m. hour and outperformed its previous season average by 7% (15.8 million, 4.8/12).
Critics Go Easy on Britney's TV Performance
Tue, 03/25/2008 - 11:29 — BritneyBashDid not know that "pretty good" and "good at some parts" was "wow"-worthy.
Britney Spears Wows Critics on Sitcom
Britney Spears' sitcom comeback Monday night was met with warm reception by critics.
“She did pretty good” playing a dorky receptionist who falls for Ted (Josh Radnor) on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother, Charna Halpern, artistic director of Chicago’s Improv Olympic Comedy Club, tells Usmagazine.com. “There was a sweetness to her, a vulnerability.
“She looked beautiful and had screen presence,” adds Halpern, who has trained such comedians as Tina Fey. “Even when she was behind the desk and they made her look kind of homely, she was adorable.”
Her comedic timing “was good at some parts, especially in some of her reactions,” Dean Cudworth, director of the Idol Camp, tells Us.
Cudworth said the scene where she handed Ted an embarrassing self-help book he had left in the lobby “really worked because she was relaxed,” Cudworth said. “She was listening to the other characters and played off their performances with ease.”
Britney Kills Herself on South Park w/ Shotgun
Fri, 03/21/2008 - 03:02 — BritneyBash
That's harsh...
A despairing Britney Spears blasts her head off with a shotgun before being photographed to death in the latest episode of bad-taste cartoon ‘South Park’.
The troubled star is pushed over the edge on the show after trying to escape paparazzi attention by going camping in South Park.
She reaches for her shotgun when the South Park boys trick their way into her hotel room to take a money-spinning photograph by pretending to be her kids.
Just before pulling the trigger she says: “You boys are never going to leave me alone are you?”
Britney somehow survives despite losing the top half of her head. She goes on to make a disastrous appearance at a music awards show like her MTV Music Awards comeback flop last year.
The boys try to save her from the paparazzi by taking her to the North Pole in the episode, screened in the US on Wednesday night.
But they are stopped en route by a baying mob who repeatedly photograph Britney until she is declared dead by a doctor.
TV Britney Has to Update Her Facebook Profile
Thu, 03/20/2008 - 02:12 — BritneyBash
ET has a brand-new sneak peek at BRITNEY SPEARS on the set of "How I Met Your Mother." The pop princess plays a receptionist named Abby at Ted's (JOSH RADNOR) dermatologist's office. This marks her first acting gig since appearing on "Will & Grace" in 2006. Britney's episode of "HIMYM" airs Monday, March 24, on CBS.
Also guest-starring on the show is "Scrubs" doc SARAH CHALKE, playing Ted's new love interest. Sarah's appearance is a one-shot deal at this point in time, because she is still under contract to "Scrubs," so it remains to be seen if she could end up as the mother of his children.

We've all been talking about it and now here's your first look at Britney Spears as a receptionist on How I Met Your Mother. Looking slim and sexy (from the shoulders up at least) Britney was reportedly on her best behavior last week while she filmed her cameo, although co-star Neil Patrick Harris said she seemed "fragile but professional." Ah, just how every actress dreams of being labeled.
Set your Tivos! Brit's episode will air on March 24.

Britney Talked About Clothes & Dogs w/ Allyson Hannigan
Fri, 03/14/2008 - 09:42 — BritneyBash
So what was Britney Spears like on the How I Met Your Mother set?
"She was lovely," Allyson Hannigan told Usmagazine.com at the sitcom's re-launch party in West Hollywood Thursday.
"She’s just a person — so sweet and funny," Hannigan added. "We just talked about our clothes and dogs, and it was surprisingly just normal."
The rest of the cast couldn't stop raving about the actress — who shot scenes Wednesday and Thursday in L.A. — either.
"She’s beautiful," actor Jason Segel told Us. "You know, I was so focused on her hair that I’m overwhelmed with adjectives! She was great and lovely."
He said he wasn't surprised that Spears nailed her role as a dorky receptionist who falls for Ted (Josh Radnor).
"She was great," Segel added. "She was better than all five of us, so I guess that says a lot."
Added Cobie Smulders, "She was very professional and her comedic timing was great!"
The cast shrugged off rumors that Alicia Silverstone turned down a role on the show after learning that Spears was on board.
