Jamie Lynn Spears went out to her usual Kentwood haunts including Connie's Jewelry and Gifts and Nyla's Burger Basket (remind you of Brit's short stint in the restaurant business?) yesterday and this time she was joined by her mom Lynne.

It's been a trying few months for Lynne Spears. First her youngest daughter, Jamie Lynn, went public with the shocking news of her pregnancy in December, when she was just 16. Then in January, her oldest daughter, Britney, 26, was hospitalized twice for mental illness — before being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, say insiders. Since then, an exhausted-looking Lynne, 52, has been shuttling back and forth between her home in Kentwood, La. (near where Jamie Lynn is staying), and Los Angeles, where Britney lives, trying to care for both girls while keeping quiet about her family’s troubles.

But on April 20, Lynne finally broke her silence, giving an exclusive, emotional interview to Life & Style. And she didn't hold back. When asked about Jamie Lynn, now 17, Lynne spoke frankly.

"I'm a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age. All I can do is turn to God for answers and just leave it in his hands."

But despite her frustration over the situation Jamie Lynn has gotten herself into, Lynne is trying to look on the bright side. "Jamie Lynn will be a wonderful mother," she says. "She really has a way with children — she's a natural nurturer. I just wish she had waited a bit."

Lynne Spears took a break from her super-soaker to head over to Kevin Federline's house with birthday wrapping in hand.

None of the family has a birthday coming up - except for Lynne's on May 4th.

Britney Spears' mother Lynne may want the paps to cool it around her daughter - but she might need to try another approach!

First, we caught up with Brit as her assistant returned from Starbucks run before heading over to the gym. (Hey, gotta get some energy before you hit the treadmill, right?) We noticed Brit was wearing a white shirt with a pair of hot pink pants; we thought she looked cute as a button - but apparently, Britney thought otherwise, because her next stop was Niketown!

Inside, Brit met up with Lynne and picked out some new workout threads - specifically a blue top and some black pants.

Lynne picked up a few bottles of water while she was there, too - we know because Lynne came out trying to squirt 'em on the paps!

The only problem? Lynne's aim was a little off - and she only managed to soak Britney!

Britney naturally shrieked in protest at being splashed and hustled back into the car. Luckily, Britney and Lynne had made up by the time they got to Ballys - in fact, they ended up working out together! (Hey, we're not surprised Britney didn't hold her mother's squirts against her - after all, she's probably used to it by now!)

Our girl Brit was involved in a little fender bender on the 101 freeway last night - where thankfully no one was injured - and shortly after the accident, Britney changed into a pretty floral dress and headed over to dinner at Dominick's with her mom Lynne (and mom's friend Jackie).

And from the looks of it, Brit had a nice night out - she was all smiles when we spotted her heading into the restaurant and when she left!

Her mother, Lynne Spears, has insisted that the couple sign a prenuptial contract to protect the Zoey 101 star’s assets. “The contract is already drawn up and ready to go,” an insider confirms to In Touch. “Lynne’s not sure marriage is a good idea, but she’ll go along with that if that’s what Jamie Lynn wants — as long as Casey signs the contract.” A Spears family confidant says that Lynne, who flew home to Kentwood, La., to celebrate Jamie Lynn’s April 4 birthday, is worried about Casey. “He doesn’t seem as committed to the relationship as Jamie Lynn,” says the confidant, adding that the family is aware of the rumors that he’s cheated. “Lynne is keeping an eye on him.”

For pop superstar Britney Spears, this Easter holiday was a laid-back affair — far from the cameras and crowds that have made her life so hectic in recent months. The 26-year-old singer joined her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears for a rare visit to her home north of Los Angeles in Malibu.

The trio were spotted quietly strolling along Pacific Cove early on Sunday. This is a marked difference from the last time Brit and her family got together in Malibu last October, when Lynne flew in from her Kentwood, La., home in a failed attempted to intervene in the downward spiral of her daughter's life.

Perhaps this time the family was preparing for Brit's debut on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother. The singer's guest appearance on the hit show is scheduled to air Monday night — and we're sure the whole Spears family will be watching.

Though Mel "King of Malibu" Gibson was nowhere to be seen, Britney and her family went to Spears' other 'hood last night for an intimate dinner at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe.

Britney was joined (and blocked) by her mom, dad, and at least 20 flash-happy photogs.

The famous family headed over to Paradise Cove Beach Cafe in Malibu for a little seafood last night. Looks like all that family togetherness is starting to pay off, huh?

Unfortunately, even though Britney was on her best behavior, her folks still insisted on blocking as many shots as possible. Hey, these days we're grateful for any chance to see Britney - even if it's just for a second!

Looks like Jamie wasn't the only senior Spears to get some alone time with Britney this weekend - just yesterday, we caught Britney sneaking out with her mother Lynne!

The pair quietly slipped into the Malibu Country Inn yesterday for a late-afternoon snack. Lynne was really going all-out to shield Britney from the cameras, too - she even held up her coat to block our shot!

Britney Spears may be off on the set of How I Met Your Mother at the moment - but her mother's out with the kids!

We caught Lynne picking Sean and Jayden up from Kevin Federline's house around 9:30 this morning. Originally, we thought the boys were going over to Britney's for another visit, but given Brit's shooting schedule, we're guessing that the plans were scrapped since the pop princess wouldn't be around.

Hopefully Lynne's able to bring the boys by Britney's later on - after all, we just love to see those kids meeting their mother!

Britney Spears began shooting her guest role on CBS' How I Met Your Mother this afternoon in Los Angeles.

With her hair in a ponytail, Spears — whose new video premieres online tonight — wore a blue shirt, black heels, glasses and a secretary-style skirt.

The singer's mother, Lynne, was spotted walking into her daughter's trailer around noon.

Show creator Craig Thomas revealed exclusively to Usmagazine.com that Spears will play a receptionist who falls for Ted (Josh Radnor) on the March 24 episode.

At a table read on Monday, Spears was "really laughing a lot," he said.

Thomas told Us Spears said yes to the gig a day after reading the script.

Jamie Lynn Spears and Miley Cyrus’ mom met for a heart-to-heart at Starbucks recently, it has been revealed.

The two moms, Lynne Spears and Tish Cyrus, met up for lattes at the coffee joint earlier this week, taking a seat at an outdoor table.

Though both ladies were casually attired, their conversation was anything but casual. “Lynn looked upset and was doing the talking,” an eyewitness told Star magazine, “while Tish listened intently, nodding her head in agreement.”

And the reason for their discussion? “The Spears and Cyrus families have become good friends,” adds the source, “and I wouldn’t be surprised if they arranged the chat so that Lynne could share with Tish the lessons she learned as she’s tried to deal with care for Britney and Jamie Lynn.”

‘Zoey 101′ star Jamie Lynn - whose older sister is Britney Spears - is currently pregnant with her first child at the age of 16, while Miley Cyrus, 15, leads a more clean-cut lifestyle - enjoying sleepovers with friends.

Britney Spears' family have been rocked by another scandal - pregnant teen Jamie-Lynn's own birth was reportedly unplanned, and her father demanded a paternity test to make sure he was the baby's daddy.

William Spears claims "history is repeating itself" - because Jamie-Lynn wasn't planned.

The relative tells In Touch magazine that the young actress' father Jamie was concerned when his wife Lynne announced she was pregnant - because he had had a vasectomy after the couple's second child, Britney.

Uncle Willie says, "Jamie got awfully mad. He said it couldn't be his."

William Spears alleges his big brother then demanded a DNA test that proved he was the baby's biological father.

He adds, "That's why they named her Jamie-Lynn, to kind of make the point that she was from both of them."

The youngest Spears daughter stunned the world when she announced she was pregnant with boyfriend Casey Aldridge's child in December.

Sean and Jayden were sporting new haircuts today during an outing with Grandma Lynne and the nanny. Don't they look cute?!

The boys were taking a spin in their red convertible, letting the wind rush through their newly-shortened hair.

And we hear Britney's admiring the boys' new 'dos right now - the boys were apparently dropped off at her house at nine this morning! (We expect that they'll be leaving around twelve - Britney's visits with her boys have been pretty rigidly run!)
