Britney Spears just rear-ended a car on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood.

Brit hit a red Ford Explorer, driven by a lady. No injuries, as far as we know. Britney didn't even get out of the car. Her bodyguard got out and talked to the other woman.

The red Explorer Brit hit is now following her back to Britney's home.

Britney was stopped at a light and, for some reason, accelerated when the light was still red, hitting the Explorer stopped in front of her. No visible damage.

Adding another black mark to her already sub-par driving record, Britney Spears was involved in a minor car accident Tuesday afternoon in Beverly Hills.

According to press reports, the Gimme More singer rear-ended a red Ford Explorer, with a witness telling People magazine: “I think she was just distracted. She just tapped the other car in front of her.”

Apparently, Britney was out for a joyride in her white Mercedes-Benz SL65 with the accident occurring shorty after she left her Studio City pad.

Luckily for Ms Spears, her new bald bodyguard was riding along with her - handling the situation like a pro. Reports tell that he had the driver of the Explorer follow them to Brit’s gated community so that they could exchange information without the allowing paparazzi capture the moment.
