E! News has confirmed that the Britney Spears dance video leaked yesterday on MSN.com does not show a rehearsal for a performance on Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Talent manager/producer Larry Rudolph, who is working with Britney, tells E!: "She is definitely not performing!"

Turns out, the video was just a general dance rehearsal as Britney gets back in shape for performances.

MTV... it's not over right away... there are commercials in between like a tv show... so like a web show about Britney's VMA appearances.
