Britney Spears and her bodyguard are all business as they arrive at her lawyer’s office in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

A lot has changed the recovering pop-star’s life since she was placed under a conservatorship on February 2, and generally all for the better. She’s getting healthy — both mentally and physically. She was just awarded overnight visits with her boys. There are rumours she may perform at the upcoming MTV Music Awards.

The only problem now? She has resumed communication with her picked-off-the-street photog ex-beau, Adnan Ghalib. Needless to say, neither Britney’s father Jamie nor her doctors approve of the relationship.

Might this latest downturn affect her custody battle? Her dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline is scheduled to come up for a final hearing on August 25; the custody arrangement stipulated by the court at the end of the hearing is likely to remain in place for years.
